Preparation: Muggy liquid in ammonia sulfate. beta-Glucuronidase, purified from the digestive juice of Ampullaria sp., has the following advantages over beta-Glucuronidase from other sources: heat stability (no inactivation occurs after heating for 3 hours at 60 degrees C), wide substrate specificity, and the lack of a precise pH requirement.
